Etzel Cardeña, Artistic Director, worked professionally as a theatre actor, director, and playwright in México . He was offered scholarships to do MAs in acting by the Polish and Canadian government, but instead did graduate work in directing at the U. of California, Davis. He has acted and directed also in the USA and Sweden (Teater 23 and was consultant to the Alkestis production by Suzanne Osten). Currently his and Sophie Reijman's radio adaptation of Blindness by Nobel prize-winner Saramago is being produced for national broadcast by México's National Autonomous University. He is also the Thorsen Professor in Psychology at the U. of Lund.

Vanessa Poole, Activities Organiser & Secretary, spent 10 years in Malta playing different parts on stage, from chorus parts in panto to Brian Friel, Noel Coward and Shakespeare under the Mediterranean skies.  She has a great love for the theatre and keeps it alive in Malmö with the odd English-language acting job and voiceovers for infomercials and radio/ advertising. When not dreaming of the bright lights, Vanessa also teaches tailor-made English courses, works with translations and gives lectures on inter-cultural communication.
